PH’s 2nd Largest Container Terminal to Rise in Bauan, Batangas

The Luzon International Container Terminal (LICT) in Bauan, Batangas is shaping up to be the Philippines’ second-largest container terminal and the biggest privately funded marine terminal in the country, with an $800-million investment from ICTSI.
Led by DOTr Secretary Vince Dizon and PPA General Manager Jay Santiago, a recent inspection highlighted how the terminal will:
✅ Create thousands of jobs
✅ Catalyze industrial and manufacturing growth
✅ Decongest Metro Manila and Batangas ports
✅ Position Southern Luzon as a key trade and logistics hub
“Kapag natayo na ang port, sigurado na magsisitayuan na ang mga factory. Ibig sabihin nun: mas malaking kita, mas magandang kabuhayan para sa mga taga-Bauan lalo na,” — Sec. Vince Dizon
